In Caleb's class they have Writers Workshop and last week he came home and told us he was writing about my Dad's Funeral. He wouldn't give us much information on what he was writing. I saw his teacher at our PTO meeting on Thursday and she was talking to me about it...she let me know that he came to her and wanted to write about it. She said it would definitely be something we would be proud of. Yesterday Caleb came home with the final copy...we certainly were proud and very impressed with how he was able to get his feelings and emotions down on paper. It is hard enough for us adults to wrap our heads around losing my Dad but for an 8 year old it is even harder. The title of the story is Blake, Caleb used to call my Dad that when he was little. Great Job Caleb, Gramps is so proud of you, you are certainly growing into quite the young man.
